The fall collections have hit the runways, giving us all some inspiration to shake ourselves out of our fashion ruts and inspire us to try new styles and new colors. Some of the 2018 fall fashion trends included new takes on menswear, lots of metallics and sparkle and updated 1980s styles. The hottest colors included shades like whisky brown, digital blue and olive green.

Fall Fashion for your Nails

Of course, the problem with the runway shows is that the fashion that they showcase is often impractical, too avant-garde for everyday wear, or simply unbelievably expensive. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still use the runway to inspire your own fall look. You don’t have to be a millionaire or a fashion model to put a little glamour in your life. One simple luxury anyone can afford is to treat yourself to some extra pretty nail polish. It’s such an easy way to lift your mood and complete your fashion-forward look!

Fall Nail Trends You Will Love!

Below are some of the hottest nail trends that popped up on this fall’s runway shows, and our take on how to recreate them for yourself:

Fall Trend: Dramatic black nails. Black has been hip for a long time, and not just for goth kids. This year was no exception. Black nails showed up on the runways of Sonia Rykiel, Antonio Marras, and Creatures of Comfort.

Get the Look: Try Zoya Raven in a bold metallic black or OPI Lincoln Park After Dark for a black with shades of plum. To really elevate your look for a special occasion, glue a clear faux stone onto each nail and turn heads!

Fall Trend: Glitter! Cushnie et Ochs and Creatures of Comfort both featured festive and sparkly nail polish.

Get the Look: Have fun with the glitter look by mixing and matching multiple colors, making each nail a different shade, or paint all your nails a neutral shade except one, for a bright, glittering pop of contrast. Some of our sparkly fave shades include Brighton, Leisel and Aurora by Zoya.

Fall Trend: Olives and browns. Call it the new nude or army chic, olive and brown shades were all the rage on this fall’s runways, with Cividini featuring a metallic olive, Eudon Choi showing a cool brown and Phillip Lim went for a dark olive green.

Get the Look: Try Hunter by Zoya (dark forest green) or You Don’t Know Jacques by OPI (taupe brown).

Fall Trend: Colorful French tips. Tanya Taylor’s models featured French tips in unusual color combinations, including one model in golden chrome nails with coral tips.

Get the Look: Try Ziv by Zoya (metallic gold) for your main color, and Cole by Zoya (peach cream) for the tips.
